YEAR: The distribution of waste quantities between the recycling and backfilling processes has been changed for 2022 due to the upgraded reports. Backfilling also includes all amounts of waste that have been processed into materials and usable for backfilling. In previous years, these were counted among recycling.
MEASURES
Covering and construction on landfill sites (tonnes): By 2020, the covering on landfill sites was classified as waste recovery, and from 2021, in accordance with the Commission's recommendations, it is classified as waste disposal.
The waste used for construction at the landfill sites was added to the landfilled amount of waste until 2020, and in 2021 it was added to the covering of landfill sites.
