Due to a more consistent use of the methodology by reporting units, we revised the data for 2017–2019. The total amount of funding for R&D in these years remains unchanged. The consequence is visible in the decrease in the volume of financial resources for R&D by companies and the increase in the volume of financial resources for R&D abroad for 2017–2019.

Some totals do not add up due to rounding. Due to methodological changes (including statistical data protection) made in the R&D survey for 2017, which had a substantial impact on the values of some data, some data for 2017 are not fully comparable with the data for the previous years.
