Footnotes

- In 2010, SORS conducted the international statistical survey on the careers of doctorate holders for the first time. With the statistical survey we observed people with doctorate degrees (regardless of whether the doctorate was obtained in Slovenia or abroad) aged up to 69 years, who have a permanent or temporary residence in Slovenia, on 31 December 2009.
- Because the survey did not include all units of the target population, but only a selected random sample, sampling errors appear in estimates. Therefore, the precision of estimates can vary. The Statistical Office draws attention to less precise estimates by flagging them with a special sign or by not publishing them at all.
- An internationally mobile doctorate holder is a person who after being awarded a doctorate in the period between 1 January 2000 and 31 December 2009 moved to a country that is not his or her usual residence for a period of at least three months because of postdoctoral studies, work or research.
- Because of rounding, the totals do not always add up.
