Notes

At the time of this release some inconsistencies were detected in the administrative source, which is why the data from September on urban public scheduled road passenger transport have not been published. They will be published as soon as they are available. From January 2024 on, data on kilometres travelled will no longer be published monthly but annually. Since data on international public scheduled transport are incomplete and of low quality, they will no longer be published. Data from January 2024 on are provisional. With each release, the data for this period can be corrected and supplemented with new data. They become final with the annual release. Link to Methodological explanation – Revision of statistical data. Data on passengers in public scheduled transport from September 2016 on have been partially estimated due to the introduction of a new integrated public passenger transport system (IJPP) and a new system of subsidised tickets for public transport (the estimates are from the IJPP information system, maintained by the Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Energy).
From September 2021 on, data on passenger-kilometres are partially estimated by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia.
Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, public passenger transport was stopped on 16 March 2020 with the Ordinance on the Temporary Prohibition and Restrictions on Public Passenger Transport in the Republic of Slovenia. It was re-established on 11 May 2020 in an adapted form. Due to the introduction of protective measures, the entry of passengers who are users of annual or monthly tickets on buses was not recorded in May 2020. For this reason, only passengers who bought tickets in advance or online and their passenger-kilometres are taken into account in data on road public scheduled transport.
Data for 2010 and 2011 are estimates calculated in line with the revised methodology (see Methodological explanation).
Some totals do not add up due to rounding.
