Footnotes

Average daily expenditure per tourist includes all expenditures for staying in Slovenia, namely for accommodation, food and drinks in restaurants, cafes and shops, other shopping, transport in Slovenia, cultural, recreational and sport activities, etc.
Expenditures for transport from the place of residence to Slovenia and back are treated separately and are not included in average daily expenditure. The exception is only tourists who had package holidays – in this case as expense for accommodation the price of the package holiday (which besides accommodation includes transport) was taken into account.
In 2021, we changed the methodology of calculating average daily expenditure of foreign tourists in Slovenia. Therefore, the data on average daily expenditure for selected periods of 2021–2022 are not completely comparable with the data of previous years.
