INDICATOR

RES heating and cooling (%)

Data on the share of energy from renewable sources in gross final energy consumption from the reference year 2021 on are calculated based on the Directive (EU) 2018/2001 on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources (RED II Directive), which replaced the Directive 2009/28/EC on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources. Therefore, data from 2021 on are not directly comparable with data up to 2020.

RES electricity (%)

Therefore, data from 2021 on are not directly comparable with data up to 2020.

... of which from cooperation mechanism (%)

The data represent the share of energy from renewable sources provided through the mechanism of statistical transfer of renewable energy from another EU Member State.
In 2020, the statistical transfer of 465 GWh of energy from renewable sources was carried out based on an agreement with Czechia.
In 2021, the statistical transfer of 208 GWh of energy from renewable sources was carried out based on an agreement with Czechia.
In 2022, the statistical transfer of 1.193 GWh of energy from renewable sources was carried out based on an agreement with Croatia.
