STATISTICAL REGION

Data are territorially classified according to the Decree on the Standard Classification of Territorial Units, which corresponds to the NUTS classification [Common Classification of Territorial Units for Statistics], level 3. Data on changes of individual regions are written at each changed region and are available by clicking the notes icon [asterisk]. In notes at the beginning there is the date when the described territorial change was taken into account in the territorial classification of units for statistical purposes.

STATISTICAL REGION

Jugovzhodna Slovenia

As of 30 March 2000 [Decree on the Standard Classification of Territorial Units; Official Journal No 28/2000] area of two regions changed. From Osrednjeslovenska statistical region the southern part was eliminated [municipalities Kočevje, Kostel, Loški Potok, Osilnica, Ribnica, Sodražica] and connected to Dolenjska statistical region; which was thus enlarged [for 985 km2 ] and renamed Jugovzhodna Slovenija.

MEASURES

6.11 In new capacities

Gross investment in new capacities is investment in creating new
enterprises, organisations and units; construction of roads, etc., which
previously did not exist or had other purpose than the newly built.

6.12 Enlargement, reconstruction, renovation

Gross investment for enlargement, reconstruction and renovation is
investment in existing capacities because of increased volume of production
or services, or because of the change of technology. It also covers
reorganisation of existing buildings and equipment, and construction or
purchase of new fixed assets within the scope of an existing
organisationally independent unit.

6.13 Maintenance of existing capacities

Gross investment for maintenance of existing capacities at the same level is
investment due to replacement, intensification and rationalisation of
production, but without expanding the existing capacities or fundamentally
changing the present technology.
