INSTITUTIONAL SECTOR: Data on earnings are published by institutional sectors according to the Standard Classification of Institutional Sectors.
Institutional sectors are composed of institutional units, which are elementary economic decision-making centres characterised
by uniformity of behaviour and decision-making autonomy in the exercise of its principal function. Criteria for the allocation of the
institutional units in the institutional sectors are marketability and control.
INSTITUTIONAL SECTOR: We distinguish the following main institutional sectors:
non-financial corporations, financial corporations, general government, households, non-profit institutions serving households and the rest of the world.
