2.1 FORMER YUGOSLAV COUNTRIES

Until 2013 the total sum also includes Croatia which is counted as an EU member state from 2014 on.

2.2 EU COUNTRIES

The total sum does not include Croatia until 2013, which is counted as a former Yugoslav country until that year.

2.2 EU COUNTRIES

Until 2020 the total sum also includes the United Kingdom which is counted among other European countries from 2021 on.

2.3 OTHER EUROPEAN COUNTRIES

The total sum does not include the United Kingdom until 2020, which is counted as an EU country until that year.

Data on migration characteristics in Slovenia as of 1 January 2011 are produced also according to the Regulation (EC) No. 763/2008 of the European Parliament and the Council of 9 July 2008 on Population and Housing Censuses, Official Journal of the European Union L 218/14, 13 August, 2008.

Data on migration characteristics as of 1 January 2021 in Slovenia are produced also according to the Commission Regulation (EU) No. 2017/712 of 20 April 2017 establishing the reference year and the programme of the statistical data and metadata for population and housing censuses provided for by Regulation (EC) No 763/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

STATISTICAL REGION

Data are territorially classsified according to The Classification of Territorial Units for Statistics – NUTS, level NUTS 3. Data on changes of individual regions are written at each changed region and are available by clicking the notes icon (asterisk). In notes at the beginning there is the date when the described territorial change was taken into account in the territorial classification of units for statistical purposes.
