Due to the coronavirus epidemic (COVID-19), public passenger transport was stopped on 16 March 2020 with the Ordinance on the Temporary Prohibition and Restrictions on Public Passenger Transport in the Republic of Slovenia. It was re-established in Slovenia on 11 May 2020 in an adapted form.
Due to the introduction of protective measures, the entry of passengers who are users of annual or monthly tickets on buses was not recorded in May 2020. For this reason, only passengers who have bought tickets in advance or online and their passenger kilometers are taken into account in road public transport data.
The data on passengers and passenger-km in public scheduled transport and data on passengers in urban scheduled transport from September 2016 on have been estimated due to the introduction of a new integrated public transport system (IJPP) and the new system of subsidised tickets for public transport (the estimates were prepared by the Ministry of Infrastructure). From September 2021 on, data on passenger kilometres are partially estimated by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia.
Some totals do not add up due to rounding.
Data for 2010 and 2011 are estimations calculated in line with the revised methodology (see Methodological explanations).
Data for the last 12 months are provisional. With each release the data for the last 12 months can be corrected and supplemented with new data.

Final data will be published in June.
